Establishment of the company by a group of engineers, who, attentive to the accelerated technological development and aware of the need to find answers to the gaps felt by the Portuguese industrial fabric, sought through the creation of the company, to make available their knowledge in the area of computer science and automation, informatics industrial, services and food and biomedical areas.

In 1995, we hosted our facilities in São Bernardo – Aveiro, these being mainly made up of offices and a small area for the assembly of electrical panels and small equipment.

In 2006, motivated by the company’s growth and its involvement in larger projects, we moved to the Palhaça industrial area, which currently consists of a cabinet area and a larger equipment production area.

The Quality Management System was certified by the NP EN ISO 9001 standard, which allowed the creation of a structure and the necessary routines to guarantee the rigor and constant quality in the services and equipment carried out by the company. Also in 2010, in order to increase flexibility and responsiveness, a sector of internal machining was created.

Industrial Certification was carried out.

The transition to NP EN ISO 9001: 2015 (Quality Management System) and NP EN ISO 14001: 2015 (Environmental Management System) was carried out. Also in 2017, in order to increase production capacity, the industrial pavilion was enlarged, thus giving us double the area of construction and assembly.

To celebrate the milestone of the 25 years of Atena it was designed a new logo based on the previous one.
